    Wisconsin Lifespan Respite Summit

    You have been identified as a key partner in supporting family caregivers in Wisconsin. We value your input and invite you to participate in the first Wisconsin Lifespan Respite Summit.

    Registration

    This is a free working meeting to learn about and address respite issues in Wisconsin. Continental breakfast will be provided along with complimentary lunch. Seating is limited, so register early at this site! 

    The Wisconsin Lifespan Respite Summit aims to connect policymakers, researchers, family caregivers and statewide partners to exchange knowledge and expertise, leading to the development of a statewide strategy for strengthening the respite care system. 

    Summit Objectives
    • Identify state-level policy and program needs and goals related to respite care services for children, adults, and aging population.
    • Strengthen state and community partnerships to sustain Lifespan Respite activities
    • Develop strategies to maximize use of existing respite resources, identify and leverage new respite funds

    Lifespan Respite Care Programs

    • Coordinated systems of accessible, community-based respite care services for family caregivers of children and adults of all ages with disabilities, designed to provide a break from the demands of caregiving.
    • Designed to reduce duplication of effort and assist in the development of respite care infrastructures at the state and local levels
    • Meant to improve the delivery and quality of respite services available to families across the age and disability spectrum, including those with dementia.
